C1 Driver

We are actively looking for a C1 Driver to join our team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily walkaround maintenance checks on the delivery van.
  • Loading, driving, and unloading the delivery the delivery van.
  • Makes deliveries and collections to/from sites in a timely manner.
  • Making sure loads are safely secured.
  • Drive within driver working hours/tachograph rules and avoid any PCNs (Penalty Charge Notices).
  • Assist at the warehouse when extra help is needed.
  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with the transport manager

Person Specification

Qualification

Essential :

  • GCSE at grade C or above in Moths and English
  • Valid UK C1 Driving Licence
  • Current CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph card

Desirable

  • Reach Truck / Fork Lift Licence is desirable

Experience and Knowledge
Essential:

  • 2 years’ experience of driving C1 lorries on multidrop runs
  • Good understanding of both written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of London roads & restrictions

Desirable:

  • Evidence of Manual Handling training

Essential:

  • Well organised and able to multitask
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible and able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail and must be very ‘hands on’ with a ‘can do’ attitude
