Currently we are seeking to recruit a Revit MEP Technician. Reporting to the BIM Manager, you will be a key member of a multidisciplinary and versatile design team. Your skills will be instrumental in delivering high quality Building Information Models using MEP Revit to support the Mechanical and Electrical design on a range of diverse projects within high end Residential, Education, and Commercial sectors.

Job Specification

  • Produce high quality drawing packages including public health layouts, high end apartment M&E services, communal area coordination, ventilation layouts and associated builders works for all above services
  • Conversion of 2D drawings into clash-free 3D Revit models taking into consideration the unique features of each system, including access, maintenance and buildability
  • Creation of COBie-Compliant Revit families as required
  • Assist in the development of the company’s BIM library
  • Ensuring accurate referencing of drawings, including updating revision statuses
  • Utilise your understanding of Revit MEP functionality including Revit templates, modelling systems, creating and working with schedules and creating Sheets
  • Implement best practice procedures as a Revit Technician
  • Take responsibility for the quality of own work and consider ways of improving work processes
  • Compliance with company procedures and standards including all BIM documentation
  • Assist with Information Management Tasks across projects
  • QA/QC on BIM projects
  • Take personal pride in the quality of the finished drawing, to ensure that the company’s high standards are met and maintained

    Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
    Desirable
    Possess a suitable qualification within a related discipline related to the CAD / BIM role
  • Proficient in use of REVIT MEP to create coordinated HVAC systems
    Experience in the use of Dynamo
  • Strong knowledge of BIM methodologies and UK BIM standards
    Experience in the use of BIM360
  • Able to demonstrate strong skills in the use of Revit including Revit family creation skills with a focus in parametric design
    Experience with coordination of underground services
  • Good AutoCAD skills
