We are currently seeking an Electrical Clerk of Works to oversee and inspect the workmanship, quality & safety of Electrical installations across our projects (new build & residential). This role will be based in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular (weekly/fortnightly) site inspections to ensure our electrical installations follow intent & construction drawings. Preparation and review of these drawings and PTS’s are essential while conducting the quality report.
  • Monitor work to ensure it is carried out to the correct specification, review the latest documents on 4P so we meet our legal safety & environmental standards, check standards of workmanship and materials, and makes sure that the design specifications of a project are followed.
  • Supervise/witness electrical site tests and review stored records. As per BS7671 18th edition and Guidance note 3 to ensure we meet our contractual and regulation requirements.
  • Monitor the progress of building electrical operations, prepare schedules, and maintain an effective follow up of all reports issued with the teams, ensuring 100% closure, paying close attention to finishing details.
  • Compile and maintain records for on-site electrical activity, conditions & resources.
  • Attend and contribute to design team and site meetings if required.
  • Schedule outstanding electrical works, review ITAP’s and WIR’s to ensure these cover the scope of works undertaken on site.
  • Report to senior team with Good and bad quality findings
  • Liaise with the senior team and the client when required to help resolve quality / design / installation / and testing issues.
  • Assist in developing quality alerts to be distributed to all sites.
  • Liaise with both Operations and Commissioning team to ensure all system prerequisites are met prior to system energization

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical installation and familiarity with all installation standards
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical project contract documents
  • Strong awareness of relevant Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience of checking setting out dimensions
