We are actively seeking an Electrical Bias Design Manager to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for managing our in-house consultants, Revit and CAD engineers, and coordinating with main contractors and clients throughout the design process to develop MEP designs. Your role will also involve carrying out design verifications, including detailed analyses using IES, Revit, and Amtec.
In addition, you will oversee the development of concept designs, manage key deliverables, and attend design meetings.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Lead the design management process on major projects, overseeing in-house consultants, Revit and CAD engineers, and external design partners where required.
- Coordinate with clients, main contractors, and internal teams to ensure design information is accurate, compliant, and fully integrated from tender through delivery.
- Carry out design reviews and verifications, including detailed analysis using IES, Revit, Amtec, and other relevant tools.
- Oversee the development of concept and detailed designs, ensuring compliance with Employers’ Requirements, tender specifications, legislation, and buildability standards.
- Review and comment on drawings, technical submissions, and subcontractor design proposals, incorporating them into the overall scheme.
- Manage design approvals, trackers, and timelines, ensuring issues are resolved early, documented, and communicated across teams.
- Attend and contribute to design meetings, supporting project progress and assisting the commercial team with design-related contract matters.
- This role will involve occasional travel to our London Office.

- A degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
| EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE |
Essential
- Proven experience in the design or technical critical reviews of building services electrical systems within a contractor or consultancy environment or through the project delivery with on-site projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security, and data systems
- Experience working on large-scale, complex projects such as hospitals, schools, or major commercial developments
- Good working knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
Desirable
- Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, Navisworks and other PDF markup software.
- Understanding of BSRIA/RIBA stage of works/design with the level of detail required
