We are seeking a Mechanical Site Manager based in Bristol to be part of our growing team.

| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Lead the delivery of all mechanical services installation, commissioning and testing activities from project mobilisation through to final handover.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope, programme and the systems being delivered.
  • Work in close partnership with the Principal Contractor to coordinate and implement the agreed sequence of works.
  • Manage the procurement of materials and equipment in line with company procedures, budgets and project requirements.
  • Provide effective leadership to all site-based personnel, including supervisors, engineers, administrative staff and stores personnel.
  • Oversee the preparation, review and close-out of Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Review valuations to ensure they accurately reflect progress and remain aligned with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor, record and manage project variations to maintain robust commercial control.
  • Direct and manage mechanical subcontractors to ensure safe delivery, programme adherence and quality performance.
  • Anticipate potential issues and take timely action to mitigate risks and resolve operational challenges.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Champion health and safety on site, ensuring full compliance with legislation, company standards and safe systems of work.
  • Oversee on-site mechanical installations to ensure compliance with design specifications, building regulations and quality standards.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations, project milestones and performance expectations are consistently achieved.
  • Drive quality assurance and quality control activities across the site to maintain high standards of delivery.
  • Represent the mechanical function at project meetings and contribute to effective decision-making and stakeholder communication.

| QUALIFICATION |

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • SMSTS certification or equivalent site management qualification.
  • 18th Edition qualification.

Desirable

  • A qualification in Building Services, Construction Management, or a recognised mechanical trade background.

| EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE |

Essential

  • Proven experience in construction and site management within an electrical services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, construction products, installation methods, design coordination, and the relevant regulatory and quality standards.
  • Confident user of construction management systems and digital tools, with strong overall IT capability.

Desirable

  • Experience managing large and complex work packages within live project environments.
