We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor based in Bristol to be part of our growing team.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Manage and coordinate all on-site mechanical services installations and testing activities.
- Oversee on-site installations to ensure compliance with building regulations and health and safety standards.
- Procure materials and equipment in accordance with company protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the site management team to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Plan proactively to prevent issues and address any emerging challenges effectively.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with approved RAMS.
- Maintain and enforce health and safety standards across the site.
- Provide day-to-day supervision of mechanical subcontractors.
- Oversee on-site quality assurance processes to ensure standards are consistently achieved.
- Attend and contribute to daily on-site briefings and site walks with main contractors.
- Oversee the upkeep of the site office and storage areas, while supporting the preparation and implementation of RAMS.
- Attend meetings as required and provide relevant updates and input.
- Deliver weekly toolbox talks to site personnel.

- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)

- 2391 Inspection and Testing
- 18th Edition
Desirable
- A qualification in Building Services, Construction Management, or a recognised mechanical trade background.

| EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE |
Essential
- 5 + years’ experience in a similar role in an Mechanical environment.
- Experience of dealing with multiple sub-contractors as part of complex, multi-disciplinary building projects
Desirable
- Experience of supervising Mechanical Packages on major projects

- Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands.
- Capacity to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent team player with the ability to lead and develop those within the team
- Be able to undertake a continuous review of procedures to achieve and maintain best practice.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels, both in written and verbal.

- To be flexible and work as part of a team.
- Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
- Must be very ‘hands on’ with can do attitude
