Electrical Site Supervisor

  • Hours Monday - Friday 7:30 - 17:00 (42.5hrs)

We are seeking a Electrical Site Supervisor based in Birmingham to be part of our growing team.

| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |

  • Manage and coordinate all onsite Electrical services installation and testing
  • Oversee onsite installations to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Order materials and equipment while following company protocols /procedures
  • Work within a site management team structure to ensure successful project delivery
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues
  • Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks while enforcing works to be carried out as stated within approved RAMS
  • Supervise and manage health & safety on site
  • Daily supervision of Electrical Sub-contractors
  • Oversee and manage on site Quality Assurance
  • Attend and provide input to onsite daily briefings and site walks with main contractors
  • Oversee the preservation of the site office and store areas, assisting with producing and enforcing RAMS
  • Regularly attend meetings as required

| QUALIFICATION |

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • SSSTS
  • 18th Edition

Desirable

  • SMSTS
  • Qualification in Building Services, Construction or Electrical trade background

| EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE |

Essential

  • 5 + years’ experience in a similar role in an Electrical environment.
  • Experience of dealing with multiple sub-contractors as part of complex, multi-disciplinary building projects

Desirable

  • NEC project knowledge
  • Experience of managing large infrastructure packages
  • Experience of managing Rail tunnel projects

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload.
  • Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands.
  • Capacity to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to lead and develop those within the team
  • Be able to undertake a continuous review of procedures to achieve and maintain best practice.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels, both in written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to deliver high quality and practical solutions
  • To be flexible and work as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
  • Must be very ‘hands on’ with Can do attitude
  • Strong IT skills particularly with Microsoft office
