Kane Group are an established, and successful multi-disciplinary building-services solution contractor, with our Head Office based in Banbridge, Northern Ireland.

We are actively looking for a Mechanical Fabrication Supervisor to support our Fabrication team at Kane.

Responsibilities

Pre-Fab.

  • Supervising a team of general/skilled operatives, fabricators & welders.
  • Manage a busy assembly line and delegate tasks amongst the team as per requirements.
  • Reviewing fabrication drawings & issuing to team.
  • Producing cutting lists from fabrication drawings.
  • Working to a weekly planner ensuring dispatch deadlines are met.
  • Assisting the QA team with checks to ensure fabricated products are in line with fabrication drawings.
  • Organising materials for project to be delivered and prepared for fabrication to start.
  • Reporting on progress & assisting QS with applications.
  • Liaising with HR to complete return to work forms & book employee AL.
  • Liaising with service & maintenance manager for general fabrication warehouse maintenance & equipment maintenance
  • Assisting & supervising the stores operatives with preparing dispatches.

Qualifications

Essential

  • 5 GCSE’s (Grades A-C) Including Math and English
  • Level 3 City & Guilds Plumbing

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Pipefitting/welding experience or Welding experience

Desirable

  • Previous experience with in a supervisor/managerial role

Abilities & Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload. Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands.
  • Capacity to work independently with limited supervision
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels.
  • To be highly organised with good planning and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • To be flexible and work as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
  • Must be very ‘hands on’ with Can do attitude
