We are actively seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental Officer based in Bristol to monitor, advise and support the health, safety, and environmental performance of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- · To oversee and monitor the HSE activities to ensure the project team are effectively supported.
- · Build effective relationships with client H&S teams and our supply chain partners.
- · Build, maintain and develop Kane operational team relationships / engagement
- · Complete formal H&S inspections and audits.
- · Facilitate the Kane site H&S meetings with our supply chain and attend client H&S meetings.
- · Assist in the creation, development and review of risk assessments and method statements and review supply chain RAMS.
- · Complete, oversee or assist with accident/incident investigations and reports.
- · Liaising with local authorities and statutory bodies such as HSE as required.
- · Promote the Kane H&S Vision, supporting campaigns and workshops and encouraging individual ownership across the business.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years in the construction industry
- ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management Systems
- Client / Principal Contractor / Subcontractor engagement
Desirable
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety - Construction
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent
- M&E experience, facilities/maintenance
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
- HSE / EA Regulator engagement

- IT literate, competent to create: Presentation slides (MS PowerPoint), data analysis (MS Excel) & Reports (MS Word)
- Formal training qualification (PTTLS, ILM - Train the Trainer) or equivalent
- Proficient in using cloud-based platforms, including innDex, Procore, Viewpoint (Field View / 4Projects), Autodesk, and Holobuilder.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI.
