We are actively seeking an MEP Planner to join the company to assist with the creation & management of Pre-Construction departmental and job specific programmes. (Design, Procurement, Construction)
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of programmes ensuring that all key design, procurement and construction activities are captured, and logic linked to identify the critical path.
- Collaborate with internal teams, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for MEP planning and coordination.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and schedule updates.
- Monitor and track MEP project progress to ensure that milestones are achieved, and any potential delays are identified and addressed.
- Assist in preparing and managing procurement schedules for MEP equipment and materials.
- Participate in meetings with the MEP team and contractors to discuss progress, timelines, and potential issues.
- Provide administrative support to the MEP planning team, including preparing reports, updating project plans, and maintaining project documentation.
- Support in cost estimation and resource allocation for MEP projects.
- Prepare short-term programmes and carry out any departmental specific exercises such as re-programming and allocating resources.
- Monitor any changes and assess the impact on the agreed programmes.
- Suggest programme recovery actions or programme betterment opportunities.
- Maintain full change log records, for all programmes, as per Planning Process.
Qualifications
Essential
- Professional Qualifications: HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Experience of tender stage planning and/or onsite planning within a developer/ contracting organisation.
- Familiarity with MEP design and construction processes in terms of the infrastructure, installation and commissioning sequences of M&E services.
- Experience of project management software including Asta Powerproject / MS Project.
- Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Microsoft suite of packages.

- Methodical, imaginative, and analytical thinker, with practical construction experience combined with sound knowledge of planning, programming and control processes
- Self-motivated with excellent time and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work unsupervised, individually or as part of a team, to a very high standard.
