We are seeking a Quality Inspector based in Banbridge to be part of our growing team.
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Provide guidance and support to fabrication and welding teams on quality standards and best practices
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of welds and fabricated components in accordance with applicable drawings, codes, and standards.
- Verify welding procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQ) and ensure compliance throughout the production process.
- Perform or coordinate NDT (e.g., DPI, MPI & RT) with third-party providers as required.
- Maintain accurate inspection and test records, including weld maps, and full traceability documentation.
- Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure inspection equipment is correctly calibrated, maintained, and used appropriately.
- Identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve quality performance

Essential
- CSWIP 3.0 Visual Weld Inspector
Desirable
- CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
- NDT Level 2 certification
- Recognised Health & Safety training (e.g. IOSH, First Aid)
- Forklift Licence
| EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE |
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on welding experience, preferably in TIG welding.
- Minimum of 2 years’ welding inspection experience within pipe fabrication and/or structural steel workshop environments.
- Working knowledge of welding standards and codes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
Desirable
- Awareness of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles
