Kane were appointed by Bennett Construction to deliver the Design and Build contract to deliver the MEP installation at the Former Hounslow House encompassing 293 dwellings of mixed tenure.
The LTHW requirements on the scheme were served by a project specific Energy Centre, with a district heating pipework network linking the Blocks.
The MEP works package included:
- Energy Centre, which was fabricated off site at our pre-fabrication workshop
- LTHW system inclusive of District Heating network to HIU’s within each dwelling
- Apartment space heating via Radiators & towel rails
- MVHR system within each dwelling
- Boosted Cold Water system serving the apartment Blocks
- Above ground foul & rainwater drainage
- Fire-fighting systems inclusive of Dry Risers, Smoke Ventilation, Residential Sprinklers & Fire Alarm
- Environmental corridor ventilation, utilising the AOV system to combat overheating in communal corridors
- Security Systems including Access Control & CCTV, in compliance with Secure by Design guidelines
- General & Emergency Lighting through landlord & residential areas
- General & small power installations
- Data & IT Network installations
- TV Installation
- Residential sub mains installation
