Kane Group has secured a major new multi-million-pound contract as part of the Sisk redevelopment of Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, further strengthening its position as a leading provider of innovative, digitally enabled mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
The appointment builds on Kane's long-standing relationship with leading contractor Sisk and reflects growing demand for the company's integrated approach to delivering complex quality led construction projects through digital engineering, offsite manufacturing and end-to-end project delivery.
Under the contract, Kane will deliver the full mechanical and electrical installation package for the development, which includes a new 146-bedroom Radisson RED hotel and the redevelopment of the existing stadium stand.
The award highlights Kane's reliability and expertise in delivering technically complex projects across the hospitality, commercial, healthcare, residential, life sciences and education sectors. Through a combination of advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM), in-house engineering expertise and industry-leading offsite manufacturing capabilities, the company helps clients achieve greater quality, programme certainty, safety and sustainability.
Kane's offsite manufacturing approach will play a key role in the project's delivery, supported by the company’s new 20,445 sq. ft. extension to production facilities. By producing major MEP components in a controlled factory environment before installation on site, the company can reduce programme risk, improve quality assurance, minimise waste and accelerate construction programmes.
Working within a live sporting venue, Kane will leverage its integrated service offering, spanning design, engineering, manufacture, installation, commissioning and maintenance to coordinate efficiently with the wider project team while minimising disruption throughout the project.
Cathal McMullan, Managing Director of Kane Group, said:
"We are delighted to have been chosen to deliver this significant redevelopment project. This award reflects the strength of our relationship with Sisk and confidence in Kane's ability to deliver complex MEP solutions through innovation, digital engineering and offsite manufacturing. Our integrated approach enables us to deliver greater quality, efficiency and programme certainty while supporting more sustainable construction practices. We look forward to working with the project team to deliver an outstanding facility ahead of the 2027 Ashes Series."
The appointment further supports Kane's continued growth across the Midlands and reinforces the company's reputation as a trusted partner for large-scale, technically-demanding developments.
