Almost three years ago we started our ‘Viewpoint’ journey and invested in ‘Viewpoint for Projects’ (4Projects).
We now use this Common Data Environment (CDE) to share, control and manage large quantities of project documents. This innovative cloud-based system has enabled us to streamline document, communication and process management procedures which has increased collaboration and project control at every stage of the project lifecycle; one of the primary drivers of Level 2 BIM.
Two months ago we expanded our ‘Viewpoint’ product portfolio and introduced ‘Viewpoint for Fieldview’. This cloud-based solution replaces pen, paper and digital camera in the field for quality, safety, and commissioning. Initially we have been able to create mobile field forms for our Quality and Commissioning team that also provides us with comprehensive reporting and compliance protocol. Use of this system enables our teams to spend more time on site recording real-time job site updates right from their tablets.
The use of this latest technology is assisting us to design, detail, fabricate, install, commission and maintain MEP systems more quickly, safely and accurately.
