Kane Group Building Services & McLaren Construction held an Apprentice site visit at Tiger Way that constituted of 14 level 2 Plumbing students and lecturers from Conel College, Tottenham.
The students were visiting the site to get a better understanding of 1st fix mechanical services and how this interacts with all trades on site. The students where site inducted then listened to a technical review by Kane Group BS of the different types of mechanical services on site, McLaren followed helping to put the MEP services in context within the whole project and how the contract was both a residential and educational building.
They also highlighted the need to a cooperative approach between trades and most importantly working safely. The visit culminated with a site walk through the school and residential energy centres, CWST plantrooms, School and Apartments. After this busy morning the students were kindly kept refreshed by lunch McLarens provided. Thank You!!
The tour highlighted the 1st fix plumbing, heating, ventilation, AC and sprinkler systems in the school, plantrooms and the apartments. It was also a great opportunity for the students to visit a live site and experience going though inductions and safety briefings in a real world situation.
The visit was thoroughly enjoyed by all apprentices and feedback was fantastic.
